Schecter Guitars has introduced the company’s first signature USA Custom Shop model: the Nick Johnston Traditional.

The product of a relationship between Schecter and the Guelph, Ontario guitarist which began in 2014, the new Nick Johnston model is based on a traditional double-cut shape. Built at Schecter’s USA Custom Shop in Sun Valley, California, the guitar features an alder body, rosewood fingerboard, Schecter’s vintage 2-point tremolo, 3-ply mint green pickguard, and three Seymour Duncan Texas Hot Antiquities single-coil pickups. It is finished in Atomic Silver, inspired by Nick’s 2014 album Atomic Mind.

“When I’m playing a guitar, the last thing I want to think about is playing a guitar,” explains Johnston. “To some, that might sound strange. To me, that’s perfection. I’ve always tried to connect with an instrument to the point where the only thing standing between the music in my head and the outside world is my ability to perform it. With this guitar, I’ve found the instrument to help me achieve that. This is the result of more than half my life playing and pursuing music.”

The Nick Johnston Traditional will be available in Canada in March 2016. Suggested retail price is $3999.00 CAN.
